You need a rough terrain forklift when standard trucks fail. The classic failure scenes are outdoor building-material yards after rain, construction sites with compacted dirt and gravel, timber and sawmill grounds, farms with soft paddocks, and any ramp or embankment that defeats cushion-tire traction. In those conditions a standard counterbalance truck loses drive, digs itself in, and exposes operators to slide and tip hazards. Load and safety margins matter more on uneven ground because tip-over risk rises with every degree of slope.
